There was bright sunshine as we drove up to the Ben Lawers car park, but it didn't last more than a few minutes onto the hill. Fortunately it's a short hill, but unfortunately being unable to stand up properly due to the wind meant we didn't fancy the walk along the ridge. After nearly being blown off the summit, we went about half way along before it got a bit tricky, then decided to retrace our steps - gales and ice on an already narrow ridge wasn't going to be a good combination. We'll have to come back in better weather, because it looked like a fun climb.
